NEW YEAR
Welcome back, and a Healthy and Happy New Year to you all. We look forward to another busy and exciting term ahead. May I take this opportunity to remind parents that although I am not in school everyday I am always in contact with school and can be available at short notice should a problem occur.
TRAINING DAY
Please remember that school will be CLOSED on FRIDAY 20th JANUARY. Staff will be attending essential training on teaching writing.
POTTERY CLUB
Pottery Club starting next week with Helen Tooley. There are only 12 places available so it will on a first come basis. Cost is £45.00 for ten lessons. The children who had attended this term have made so many beautiful pieces and had such fun, not just for girls there are two boys who love it. Don’t miss out on this popular club few places left.
APPLICATIONS FOR RECEPTION PLACE 2012
Please remember if you have a child born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008 the forms must be returned to County by 15th January 2012. Please remind other parents who may have children of school age for September admission.
SNOW
Just a reminder that should we get snow at anytime during the school day the procedures to follow. We ask that you use your own discretion and collect your child early if necessary. You DO NOT need to contact us beforehand as this would only over load our telephone lines.
If snow falls over night and we have to close the school because staff are unable to travel in then please make sure that you listen in the morning to Pirate FM News 102.2 and 102.8 who guarantee to read out all school closures. We will also send our SMS message and it will be put on as a Newsflash on our website www.mawgan-in-pydar.cornwall.sch.uk .
