Children will be admitted to our Reception Class during the year in which they become five. Before children start school for the first time, parents are required to complete the Cornwall Authority’s Common Application form (available from school), which should be returned to the school/LEA by the date specified. Children’s names should be submitted two or three terms in advance of the admission date.
Children who will have their fifth birthday between 1st September and 28th February will be offered full time places in school in September, although it suits some children to be in school for only half days during their settling-in time. For our youngest pupils, born between 1st March and 31st August (who will only be just four in September) we offer half days for the Autumn term becoming full time in January.
Pre-school visits are arranged for parents and their children to view the school and meet the staff. We aim to provide the Under Fives in school with a secure, happy environment that meets their developing needs.
